Winterizing 2005 King of the Road Royal Villa 34BW

Earlier this year I purchased a used 2005 King of the Road Royal Villa 34BW. I'm currently planning the steps I'm going to follow when it comes time to winterize. The instruction manual help is definitely limited. The manual states "fasten 4 foot hose into the Anti-Freeze connection in the center of the board". Exactly where is this board? I first assumed it meant the board outside where 4 valves are located such as the cold water line valve and water tank fill valve. But, I see nothing on that board that looks like an Anti-Freeze connection for a hose to go into.
I'm also not clear on how to activate the hot-water bypass. I know it has to do with one or more of the 3 valves located behind a board beneath the kitchen sink on the left. One of those valves is labeled "cold water". I'm not clear on the purpose of each of those 3 valves.
What I would really love to see is a step by step listing that someone might have as to what is required to winterize this unit.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

RE: Tracfone and others

I have a prepaid T-Mobile phone that gets VERY limited usage. It is currently costing me $10 per year!!! Once I had spent $100 over a year's time on quarterly renewal charges, I was able to get this rate. You don't get this incredible rate at first, but it does come fairly quickly. I use the phone very occasionally and currently have over 300 minutes available.

RE: King of the Road Pin Weight

The posted weight of your 2005 34bw is 14800. I know because I just bought one myself, and the weight is posted on a plate on the outside of the unit.

Maryland State Inspection

Also posted in 5th wheel forum. Please see HERE
Yesterday I brought home a used 5th wheel I purchased in Pa. To obtain Maryland tags I need a MD state inspection. Does anyone know a location, preferably in Northern Baltimore County, that does state inspections on 5th wheels?

RE: Looking at 2005 King of the Road Model 34BW

Thanks to all for your thoughts - they've been very helpful. I'm going back to the dealer tomorrow to give the KOR one more close look over and make a final decision. I need to decide now because I'm leaving for Florida in few days and will be gone for the month of March. I need to make a decision before I go. If I do go ahead, I won't be taking delivery until the first week of April.
I'll keep you posted.
Again thanks!!!

RE: Looking at 2005 King of the Road Model 34BW

A bulletin from KOR issued last spring states:
"If your unit is out of warranty and you need to
purchase parts, we have set up Eagle Crest Homes
& RV’s located in Grand Island, NE to handle the
parts sales. Eagle Crest is a subsidiary of Chief Industries and a “sister company” of King of the Road. They are
familiar with the King of the Road product and
will work hard to provide for your needs. They
can be reached at 1-800-792-4539."

RE: Looking at 2005 King of the Road Model 34BW

Thanks for all the information. I'm new to the world of 5th wheels so was unaware of the KOR situation - have had a Class A motorhome for years.
At this point I'm really not sure what to do. I LOVE the KOR that I'm looking at, but not sure if I want to buy something where the manufacturer has gone out of business. I don't think honoring a warranty is an issue here as I'm buy used, but the potential unavailability of parts is a major concern.

RE: Looking at 2005 King of the Road Model 34BW

What exactly do you mean by "orphan". Have they stopped making them? Has the company gone out of business?
King of the Road has a current web site that sure makes it look like they are still in business.
Any detailed information would be very much appreciated.

Looking at 2005 King of the Road Model 34BW

Hi, I'm seriously looking at a 2005 Kind of the Road - Model 34BW 5th wheel, for $32,999. Does anybody have any experiences with that make and/or model? Also, does price seem reasonable?
Any thoughts or experiences would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

using 30 to 50 amp adapters

I'm looking at possibly buying a used 5th wheel that uses 50 amp. The long term campground site where I want to keep it only has 30 amp available. Should I be concerned about using an adapter to plug the 50 amp 5th wheel into a 30 amp outlet, or is this routinely done?

Crackling sounds from Power Tek Electrical Center

I have a 2002 Soutwind 32VS motorhome. We have been experiencing a very strange problem. We hear very intermittent crackling or static sounds from the area around our Power Tek PDC-3009 Electrical Power Distribution Center in the bedroom. It did it some last year, and then we went for several months without ever hearing it, then it suddenly started up again about a month ago. We use the RV every weekend from April to October so we are there frequently. Two weekends ago we heard it a lot, the next weekend we never heard it at all, and then this past weekend it was making the noise again, so as you can see it is VERY intermittent. It's hard to pinpoint exactly where the sound is coming from, sometimes it almost sounds like it's coming from behind the wall just to the right of the Power Tek, but it's hard to say for sure. We would appreciate any thoughts you might have as to what might be causing this. It's become very frustrating.
Also, does anyone know where the power converter is located in this model motorhome?
Thanks for any help you can offer.
